Located in a 19th-century brick and concrete former printing plant, SiriusXM’s corporate headquarters and broadcast and recording facility contains more than 100 individual radio studios. STUDIOS designed the space to serve not only as a radio station but also as a marketing tool, attracting both investors and on-air talent. Prefabricated radio booths line the perimeter of the large floorplate, forming a staff lounge area at the center of the warehouse. SiriusXM’s numerous technical requirements have been incorporated into the design-exposed data cables and acoustic panels contribute to the overall aesthetic of the space, and provide flexibility for future reconfiguration.

The facility’s 10,000 sf technical core serves both the studios and the enterprise network, including the two seven-meter up-link satellite dishes. The design of the data center is completely symmetrical; it includes 4,000 KVA of both emergency generator and UPS capacity.
